ECU-ECM PRODUCTS
ENGINE CONTROL UNIT OR ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE
Every modern vehicle has an ECM or ECU (same thing with different names).
This computer can operate your fuel injection, ignition timing, and other things by accurately monitoring:
RPM, Load, Throttle position, Air temperature, Detonation, boost or vacuum, and other key parameters.
You can build systems using popular crank/cam sensors and monitor critical engine functions. A variety of ignition coils, efi injectors, and data management are now possible.
You can stack these products with a PMU (power management unit) which is a computer controlled "fuse panel" that has programmable voltage/amperage limits, and safety shut downs.

Call us to discuss your project. The options can be over whelming but we've done the research for you. You can choose the ECU based on budget and features, then choose the coil and trigger style that fits your vehicle.
These products require computer and tuning knowledge beyond the casual user. You will need to understand how to install and manipulate the system, or be prepared to pay a tuner for their services.

There is an updated version of the PE tuner which is important if you are using smart coils.
You can download the zip file using the link, or download the two files directly (requires fast internet).
After installing the 3.05.08 file onto your computer you can begin using it. You will NOT be able to open any older 3.05.05 maps you may have.
We suggest creating a backup of all tunes before updating your ECU.

Ford drives these coils using an EDIS module. It is generally accepted that 2.0-4.0 mS is acceptable dwell times. With so many suppliers, we suggest starting conservatively and test for signs of overheating.
